Formus Co-Founder and Managing Director Ben Fairfax has been named a finalist in the Legacy Leadership category at the Property Council of Australia’s 2026 NSW People in Property Awards – one of the industry’s most respected annual events celebrating the individuals who continue to shape and strengthen the property sector across New South Wales.
The Legacy Leadership award recognises professionals whose impact, integrity and leadership have made a lasting contribution to the property industry and the communities it serves. Ben’s nomination reflects more than three decades of work delivering projects that go beyond the built environment, focusing on creating places where people can live, connect and thrive.
Throughout his career, Ben has built a reputation grounded in long-term thinking, strong partnerships and a genuine commitment to community outcomes – values that have defined his leadership at Formus and across the broader industry.
The Formus team is incredibly proud of this recognition, which is a fitting reflection of the care and purpose Ben brings to everything he does.
The Formus team joined Ben on the night at Royal Randwick Racecourse for the award ceremony, celebrating the best of the industry. Congratulations go to Richard Crookes, who took home the Legacy Leadership award on the night, and to all finalists and winners recognised across every category.
